Workshop Descriptions: Here's What To Expect

• Associate Degree for Transfer (AD-T) Next Steps 

  This workshop provides an overview of the AD-T application process and the next steps after the application is submitted. 

• Associate Degree for Transfer (AD-T) Workshops

  This workshop will provide you with information about our Associate Degree for Transfer and will help you determine which degree best supports your academic or transfer goals.

• Common Application Workshops

  This workshop will provide you with a better understanding of the Common Application. 

• California State University (CSU) Application Clinics

  Attend this hands-on workshop if you have any quick questions before submitting the CSU application.

• California State University (CSU) Application Workshops 

  This workshop will help you with completing an online CSU application. Workshops will include a page-by-page review of the online application system, with time for questions at the end.

• General Education Workshops 

  Learn which general education pattern best supports your transfer goals.

• Next Steps Workshops 

  This will help you understand the next steps of transfer after being admitted to CSU or UC, including: Financial Aid, Housing, Cal-GETC Certification, Orientation, SIR, Transcripts, and other topics.

• Transfer 101 Workshop

  A great workshop for new students to learn the basics of the transfer process and how to get started. 

• Transfer Talk

  Join Transfer Center counselors for casual conversations about all things transfer-related. At these Transfer Talk sessions, students will have the opportunity to ask general transfer questions and discuss important transfer considerations with a counselor.

• University of California (UC) Application Clinics 

  Attend this hands-on workshop if you have any quick questions before submitting the UC application.

• University of California (UC) Application Workshops 

  This will help you with completing an online application to a UC. Workshops will include a page-by-page review of the online application system, with time for questions at the end.

• UC Personal Insight Questions Sessions 

  Get useful tips and suggestions for developing and writing a strong university admissions personal statement or responses to UC Personal Insight Questions.

• UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) Clinics

  The TAG Clinic is a working session to help you complete your TAG application and answer specific questions. 

  • Before attending, you should review the TAG matrix, TAG handouts, and have an account already created in the UC Transfer Admission Planner (UC TAP).
  • Be sure to have the following information ready: all college transcripts and an education plan for the academic year.

• UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) Workshops 

  These sessions will cover resources and information about determining your UC TAG eligibility and how to use the online UC TAG system to submit your application.

  Learn about the benefits of the UC TAP and how to open an account through the website.
