Reminder: UndocuWelcome on Sept. 13

Dear Student,

Thank you for choosing De Anza College! We wanted to remind you about a special orientation and welcome event – UndocuWelcome 2022: You Belong Here! – that you're invited to attend on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

We are sending you this invitation because you enrolled as an AB 540 student or submitted a California Dream Act Application, and you may find this event of interest. Please be assured that your information is confidential and will not be shared.

Sign Up to Attend

This orientation is designed to provide undocumented students – including AB 540 and DACA students – and their families with tips and tools for making the most of the college experience at De Anza. We'll cover academic planning, financial aid and more. Plus: You will also have an opportunity to meet other new students!

The event will be held both online and in person, so you can choose how you want to participate. (Once you sign up, we will send you more information, including instructions for how to attend via Zoom and health requirements for coming to campus.)

The schedule includes

  • Student Sessions: 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:30-6:30 p.m. (for students and families attending on campus)
  • Family Session: 6:30-7:30 p.m.

*The Family Session is open to parents, co-parents, caregivers, older brothers or sisters or other support persons. (Students will have a session with mentors during this time.)

  • Tendremos talleres bilingües en español para la familia y comunidad que apoyan al estudiante.
  • Chúng tôi có những cuộc hội thảo song ngữ dành riêng cho gia đình, người thân, và những người trợ giúp các em sinh viên.
