Advisor Announcments: Maliah: Joshua’s comments during Senate were valid
Public Comments:
- Joshua: VTA Smartpass contract expires March 3, 2025. Employees might plan a strike, affecting Local 265 route
- Kavi: elections process too strict on candidates
Business item #1: Student Questions & Concerns - Elections Edition
- Kavi: elections complaint forms were weaponized against candidates. Not enough evidence were provided to support the complaint forms.
- Katia: procedures for elections are set in place. Candidates could have been disqualified automatically, but candidates were given time and alternatives to continue to run.
- Nishitia: elections procedures are posted and accessible to candidates. Most candidates followed the procedures towards the elections.
- Kavi: most candidates that were disqualified were international students
- Lia: generalizations cannot be made about only international students. De Anza is a commuter college.

- Accounting capacity for communities. Has paid interns.
- Ex. currently for VIDA they get 10 hrs and decide how they distribute that time
- Discussion (TBD): hierarchy of scholarships among DASG Senators
- Kavi: everyone should be paid the same
