DASG Budget

The De Anza Student Government (DASG) budget provides funding for programs, services, activities, and initiatives that benefit De Anza students.

DASG has a budget of more than $1 million and funds dozens of student programs across campus. Funding decisions are made through a structured process involving the DASG Finance Committee and DASG Senate.

The date of the Second Vote depends on when the First Vote takes place. Funds Available for Use

Who can Request Funding?

DASG funding is generally requested by De Anza College programs, departments, campus organizations, and other eligible college-affiliated groups that provide a benefit to De Anza students.

Note: All Club funding requests should be referred to the Inter Club Council. No DASG funding can be used for student clubs or club events except the lump sum allocated to the ICC.

When Can requested Funding be used?

Approved annual budget allocations are for the next fiscal year. Funds become available at the start of the new fiscal year, generally July 1. Programs should plan their annual budget requests based on their anticipated needs for the upcoming fiscal year.

Need additional funding during the current fiscal year?
Programs that have an unexpected or additional funding need may submit a request for a Special Allocation.

    • Special Allocations are intended for funding needs that arise during the current fiscal year and were not included, or were not fully covered, in the program's original budget allocation.
    • Special Allocation requests are reviewed separately from the annual budget process and are subject to available funds and DASG approval.
