Michele LeBleu-Burns, Vice President
Dr. Michele LeBleu-Burns has worked in higher education leadership for nearly three decades. She came to De Anza College in 2007, serving as dean of Student Development and EOPS/CARE/NextUp until she was named vice president of Student Services in 2025. In these positions, she has made a priority of creating inclusive, student-centered environments that foster both academic and personal success for De Anza’s diverse student population.
As a dean, Dr. LeBleu-Burns managed a range of student services, including the EOPS, CARE, NextUp and CalWORKs programs, ADA Compliance, Student Health Services, the Mental Health and Wellness Center, Office of College Life and Student Judicial Affairs. She received the DASB Outstanding Service Award from the De Anza Associated Student Body Senate in 2010 and the President's Award for Outstanding Service in 2024.
As vice president, Dr. LeBleu-Burns oversees Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, General Counseling and Disability Support Programs and Services, Student Development and EOPS/CARE/NextUp.
Before coming to De Anza, she held several positions at Evergreen Valley College, including strategic planning process manager, program director for the federal TRIO grant, and outreach/recruitment specialist. She earned a bachelor’s degree from San José State University, a masters’s from Santa Clara University and an Ed.D. from Saint Mary’s College of California.
