Utilizing the Stocklmeir Library and Archives
11/19/2026
10:30 am to 12:20 pm
California History Center
This is a working session in the California History Center's library and archives, exploring the Center’s regional collections, books and primary sources, as well as having a conversation on how to use these unique materials in the classroom. The Stocklmeir Library holds histories of the Santa Clara Valley, including hundreds of oral histories on agriculture, viticulture and the growth of the tech industry. Participants will spend time getting to know one part of the collection in depth, to see firsthand what it’s like to work with unique, local primary sources. We’ll then brainstorm ways to use these materials in class assignments.
