Adjunct Skills Orientation

The purpose of the Orientation is to inform you about the requirements and procedures to successfully pass the 1/2 unit SKIL course (Adjunct Study Skills 232/233). Combined with weekly group study sessions and study skills labs, you will learn to maximize your time to Study Smarter, Not Harder!

Please login to Canvas immediately after enrolling in this course to receive important announcements and reminders and complete the requirements of the course. steps to complete orientation:

Step 1

Watch the Adjunct Orientation Slideshow

This interactive presentation will teach you about our policies, requirements, staff, hours, etc. (will open in a new tab/window) 

step 2 Take the Study Skill Inventory, if you have not already done so. Make sure to write down your results. You'll need them for the next step!
step 3 Login to Canvas via MyPortal, Students tab to review course syllabus, lab requirements and deadlines.
step 4 Take the Orientation Quiz.
If you are already logged in to Canvas, find Orientatin module and click on the quiz.  You will receive credit for completing the orientation after you pass the quiz. Good luck and have fun!

The deadline to complete the Orientation for credit is the end of Week 5.  Please refer to the Course Syllabus for current due dates and deadlines.
