Adjunct Skills Orientation

The purpose of the Orientation is to inform you about the requirements and procedures to successfully pass the 1/2 unit SKIL course (Adjunct Study Skills 232/233).  Combined with weekly group study sessions and study skills labs, you will learn to maximize your time to Study Smarter, Not Harder!

Please login to Canvas immediately after enrolling in this course to receive important announcements and reminders and complete the requirements of the course.  In MyPortal, go to Students tab to find the link.  In order to complete this orientation, you will need to be familiar with Canvas and how to log on. Watch the Adjunct Orientation Slideshow

step 2 Take the Study Skill Inventory, if you have not already done so. Make sure to write down your results. You'll need them for the next step!  
step 3 Login to Canvas via MyPortal, Students tab to review course syllabus, lab requirements and deadlines.  
step 4 Take the Orientation Quiz.
If you are already logged in to Canvas, scroll down and find the link for the quiz.  If not, you'll need to log in to complete the quiz. You will receive credit for completing the orientation after you pass the quiz.  Good luck and have fun!
 

 

The deadline to complete the Orientation for credit is the end of Week 5.  Please refer to the Course Syllabus for current due dates and deadlines.

Students are given credit in their Canvas Gradebook after completing the Orientation Quiz by the deadline.
