I want to thank everyone in the Veterans Resource Center – Shari, Bertha, Manija and
Lan – for helping me with my educational path and goals. I also want to thank the
other veterans on campus. Without you guys, I would be stumbling around in the dark
alone. I'll never forget what you all have done for me.
I was part of the Student Veterans of America (SVA) and worked in the Veterans Resource Center office. I helped organize events and helped other veterans with educational benefits, disability claims and acclimating to the civilian world after they got out of the service.
Having people who understand you and where you come from really does help when entering a world that is totally unfamiliar.
