Time Draft Agenda A/D/I
Discussion LeaderPurpose 2:00 p.m. Notes from February 10, 2026 I Approved 2:05 p.m. Tri-chair Governance Model for Campus Facilities Committee D/A Both AS and CS expressed strong support for participation. Classified Senate will assign representative. 2:20 p.m. Creative Arts Update I
SciacchitanoCervantes: Project is progressing but may be impacted by a board request for a community space on campus, which could affect the Creative Arts Building design.
Options being considered include a 4,000 sq. ft. lecture hall as a smaller community space, a new building, incorporating space into the Creative Arts Building, or repurposing an existing space.
The project is currently on hold pending a decision. Stacey requested clarification, and Henry confirmed these are the options under review.2:30 p.m. PE Update I
SciacchitanoCervantes: State funding for seismic retrofits is limited, meaning the college will need to fund other project improvements. There are also limited funds available for swing space during construction, requiring creative solutions to house faculty and athletic programs without relying on costly portable rentals.
The college will share facilities with Foothill College during construction, and athletic programs will be split between buildings. Bond funds are being used strategically to upgrade temporary spaces in ways that will result in permanent improvements, such as stadium restroom upgrades with showers that will remain after completion.
Approach is intended to maximize bond value, distribute impact across departments, and avoid excessive spending on temporary facilities.2:40 p.m. Campus Center Refresh Project - Progress Report I
