When does my money arrive?

Your award letter will include a Financial Aid Disbursement Date. This is the date, typically the first day of the quarter, when your financial aid funds are "disbursed," which means they are deposited into your student account at De Anza.

This money will be applied first to any outstanding charges that you owe to the college. The remaining money will then be “refunded” to you.  Our school delivers your refund with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc.

Upcoming Refund Dates

The major Pell grant refund dates are listed below. Funds will be available via BankMobile Disbursements.

Summer 2026 Quarter

  • Friday,  July 10th, 2026

If you are getting a Pell grant:

Eligible award amounts for Pell Grant are determined by enrollment intensity, also known as active enrollment, at the time of census each quarter. Enrollment intensity is calculated as a percentage of Full-Time enrollment (12 academic units) rounded to the nearest whole percent.

Example: A student is enrolled in 7 academic units

The enrollment intensity would be 7 / 12 x 100% = 58%

Eligibility for the Pell Grant is determined by information submitted on the FAFSA. All students must be a high school graduate or have received the equivalent to a high school diploma to be eligible to receive this grant.
