Manufacturing Associate Description

CSBio is a fast-paced growing peptide CMO founded in 1993. Our initial products were a complete line of automated synthesizers for manufacturing and process development, with a focus on cGMP production. In 1994, we opened our custom peptide facility and began producing high quality compounds for research organizations and pharmaceutical companies worldwide. In 2004, we opened our peptide production facility in Menlo Park, CA and in 2014, we expanded our production capability through the addition of a new, state of the art building dedicated to cGMP peptide production. In 2017, we passed a FDA inspection and were recommended to be approved for commercial drug substance manufacturing. We are seeking qualified individuals to join us as ENTRY LEVEL Manufacturing Associates at our Menlo Park facility.

Naval Research Enterprise Intern Program (NREIP)

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) provides an opportunity for college students to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. Participating students spend ten weeks during the summer conducting research at approximately 38 DoN laboratories. The goals of NREIP are to encourage participating college students to pursue science and engineering careers, to further education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and their participation in research, and to make them aware of DoN research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN.

CAE in Cyber Operations Summer Intern Program

The Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Operations Summer Intern Program (CAE-Cyber Ops Summer Intern Program) is the National Security Agency's (NSA) premier outreach program for students enrolled in the Cyber Operations specialization at NSA-designated universities. Selectees will be invited to participate in a 12-week summer program to gain knowledge of specific cyber-related topics and apply educational knowledge to address various real world mission-related technical challenges. Participants in the program will work on a broad range of problems involving applications of computer science and engineering.

Volunteer to work at the The Cheeseman ESA

The ESA is located next to the Kirsch Center for Environmental Studies. It is a lush natural garden containing some 400 species of plants representing 12 California natural communities. Volunteers are needed to build a monarch garden, construct raised beds for edible crops, and upkeep the gardens.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute’s summer internship program provides an opportunity for talented college students (undergraduate and graduate) and educators to come to MBARI for a period of 10 weeks to work on a specific project under MBARI staff supervision.

Gladstone Institutes PUMAS Internship Program

Want to do research in a lab this summer in San Francisco? Promoting Underrepresented Minorities Advancing in the Sciences (PUMAS) is a paid biomedical research internship program; students make approximately $5,000 over the summer. The Gladstone Institutes PUMAS program is now accepting applications; the deadline to apply is February 2019 at 6pm.

Gladstone is a non-profit biomedical research organization located on UCSF’s Mission Bay campus. During the program, PUMAS interns are paired with a scientific mentor and work on an individual research project in one of our laboratories. PUMAS interns work part-time (~30 hrs/week) over the course of 9-weeks (Monday 6/13 – Friday 8/12) and participate in a final poster session where they present their research findings to the scientific community here at Gladstone and UCSF.

The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory Banding

The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory is dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitats through science and outreach. We are located in Milpitas. SFBBO’s Coyote Creek Field Station bands birds throughout the year to study bird migration patterns and the bird community of one of the largest riparian habitats in the South Bay Area. We seek an intern (or two) to work with Landbird Program biologists to band birds, train and work with volunteers, and analyze and manage data.
Banding occurs on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday mornings (45 minutes before sunrise) at the Field Station. Interns will be expected to work 1-2 days a week (flexible).

The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory Science Outreach Internship

The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory (SFBBO) is seeking a part-time intern to assist with science outreach activities. The internship will be based in Milpitas, CA, and the work hours can be flexible around the intern’s schedule. The intern will receive training and mentorship from SFBBO’s Outreach and Communications Director and will develop their skills in citizen science, fundraising, and community outreach techniques. We will accept applications on a rolling basis.
