MESA STEM TALK: Beyond the Bridge: Navigating the Transfer from MESA to UC Davis
A former De Anza student and UC Davis Transfer Ambassador shares the blueprint for
bridging the gap between community college and a four-year college. Beyond just getting
in, we’ll discuss how to hit the ground running in high level coursework, leveraging
your foundation to lead projects in clubs, secure internships at industry giants,
and build a powerful professional network within the College. Learn how to transform
your transfer journey into a competitive advantage!

Flower Making Event, Distress With Us!
Join us for a relaxing afternoon of creativity and community-building! We are hosting a Paper Flower Making event to help students destress while contributing to a great cause. All flowers created during this workshop will be displayed at the upcoming UndocuSTEM MESA Conference.

Hecha en Mexico (Mexican breed), Silicon Valley raised, Rebeca navigated an undocumented
status to become a Hardware Engineer at Cisco Systems. She developed her technical
background with a degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University
while running a sole proprietorship and an LLC.

Valley Water’s Water Works Program introduces college students to impactful careers
in the water industry. It’s a stipend-based program that includes mentorship, professional
development, and a guaranteed paid summer internship at Valley Water. Through the program, students gain hands-on experience, build professional connections,
and explore career pathways in water and environmental fields.
Water Works Program applications will be accepted Monday, December 1, 2025, through
Sunday, December 21, 2025, 11:59 PM PST.

The Lamat REU program participants engage in inquiry-based learning in astronomy and planetary sciences using state-of-the-art astrophysical simulations as a common pillar. We accept applications
from all undergraduate students, but we particularly encourage students from community
colleges to apply.
