Milena GrozevaThe F/TV Department includes programs in media studies, production, screenwriting and animation, instructor and chair Milena Grozeva explained in the video. Classes are small, so students can get hands-on experience with the latest equipment, she adds.

The video features additional students and instructors, who note that skilled animators and filmmakers are in high demand by tech companies and other employers in the Bay Area and Southern California.

“I would highly, highly recommend” the program, said Francisco Silvestre Hernandez, a De Anza F/TV alum. “The facilities here are great.”

Andres Tetla“Not only are the professors very much willing to go out of their way and help out and encourage students to be creative, to really let loose, but they’re also willing to take that extra time to make sure that everyone understands the technical aspects,” said Andres Tetla, a Film/TV student. “And that’s what I really enjoy.”

Previous videos in the series have highlighted programs in Business, Design and Manufacturing Technologies and Health Technologies, with future installments planned for individual programs and groups of related offerings – including arts and communication, automotive technology, child development, environmental studies and more.

The videos are developed by the Office of Communications in collaboration with the Career Technical Education Division and individual departments. They can be seen on the college YouTube channel, the Career Training website and on social media.
