There's Still Time to Register and Vote
There’s still time to register and vote in the upcoming election for U.S. president, Congress, state and local offices, and important ballot measures.
Ballots are being mailed to registered California voters, beginning this week. If you aren’t already registered to vote, you can still register online by Monday, Oct. 21, and vote by mail or in person on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Even if you miss the Oct. 21 voter registration deadline, you may still be eligible to cast a conditional ballot in person through Nov. 5.
You can see if you're already registered to vote by checking the Secretary of State's registration website. Once you're registered, you have three ways to vote:
- Vote by mail as soon as you receive your ballot, or any time up to Election Day, Nov. 5.
- Drop off your ballot at an official Ballot Drop Box. If you're registered to vote in Santa Clara County, you can use the Drop Box on campus. You'll find it on on the sidewalk outside the RSS Building, near the entrance that faces Staff/Student Lot A. Or you can find a drop box near you by checking the county elections website.
- Bring your ballot to any county Vote Center. These will be open Oct. 26-Nov. 5. Find one near you by checking the county elections website.
