    RAPP Meeting Minutes

    Online Mtg.

    10 a.m.-11:20 a.m.

    Tuesday Feb. 10, 2026

    Summary

The RAPP committee discussed the Faculty Prioritization Committee and the Program Sustainability Committee proposals. Erik Woodbury and Veronica Acevedo Avila presented a PowerPoint providing context on the feedback received from RAPP since October 2025.  Presenters requested support to solicit feedback from the DASG, Classified Senate, Academic Senate and Deans. Through a general consensus process, RAPP supported moving these proposals to the above mentioned groups for review. The subcommittee proposals will return to RAPP for discussion and decision-making.

Vice President of Instruction and RAPP Tri-Chair, Ram Subramaniam, presented a proposal for a full-time tenure-track Paralegal faculty emergency hire. He noted that the resignation of the Paralegal Faculty Director creates a compliance and accreditation issue under the American Bar Association "Faculty Section G-401" Paralegal Guidelines.  This request aligns with the college’s emergency hiring criteria for positions "Required by law or accreditation".

RAPP continued its work on program review feedback. Members met in five breakout groups to evaluate assigned reviews and provide feedback using respective feedback form documents.
