Review Strong Workforce Funding Basics:

Margaret Bdzil (Workforce, Program Coordinator) explained Perkins and Strong Workforce funds both of which are for use exclusively by CTE programs.

Perkins are Federal monies. Thus, this fund not appropriate for paying International Students.

Three years is maximum number of repeats. For example, tutors funded by Perkins have a three-year limit to be funded from Perkins. Students paid from Perkins funds must maintain full-time status with 12 units. Eligibility parallels financial aid.

Local De Anza College Strong Workforce budget is $1.3 million - $500K = $800K. Regional budget is $700K.
