UC and CSU Transfer Panel Session

A panel of De Anza alumni, who transferred to University of California and California State University schools, will provide insights on how to prepare for the transition from community college to a four-year institution.
Panelists:
Daniel Arias – earned a bachelor's in English at UC Berkeley and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Humanities at UC Santa Cruz
Andrea Aviles – 2024 Commencement speaker, recipient of the 2024 Pister Transfer Scholarship and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sociology at UC Santa Cruz.
Angel Bautista – currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies at San José State University and working for Sacred Heart Community Services as an economic justice network coordinator.
Zhiji Quan – earned a bachelor's degree in Data Science at UC Berkeley and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Engineering in Data Science at UCLA.
Aaron Thomsen – graduated from UC Irvine in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and currently working for Amazon.
