Tutor Training for Math/Science Tutors


Course Description

This is a required training course for De Anza math/science tutors during their first quarter of tutoring. Strategies and communication skills to help peer tutors conduct productive, effective, and fun tutoring sessions. Experience reflecting on instructional and learning theory and practicing theory-based tutoring techniques. Strategies for working with students from diverse backgrounds and with various learning styles. Self-reflection and peer feedback on actual tutoring sessions.
