Intermediate Karate


Course Description

This course is an introduction to the discipline of karate, which includes a global and historical examination of the sport and its rules, equipment, and etiquette. Intermediate karate skills and techniques of Japanese karate will be covered, including blocking, punching, kicking, stances, individual evasive movement, and group interaction. Students will strive to understand and apply basic exercise physiology, nutrition, flexibility, and strength concepts to improve their physical condition and train at a more advanced level, considering the variables due to age, gender, and physical conditions.
