Course Description
This course is an introduction to computer programming. The primary objective is to teach problem-solving using the Java programming language. Emphasis will be placed on structured procedural programming with an introduction to object-oriented programming. This course is designed primarily for computer science and related transfer majors.

CIS -036A-41Z: Fully ONLINE. This is an online lecture, laboratory class. The lecture meets each week as noted in the class listing. The laboratory does not have scheduled meetings and can be completed independently each week on the student's own time. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system.
