New Acting VP of Administrative Services

Dec. 12, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to announce that, pending board approval, Pam Grey will serve in the important role of acting vice president of Administrative Services. As you know, current vice president Susan Cheu will be serving as interim vice chancellor of Business Services at the district beginning Jan. 1.

Pam is a proven leader who brings strong budgetary experience as well as deep and broad administrative skills to this position. Many of you have already worked with Pam in her role as associate vice president of College Operations. Before that, she was the district’s director of Purchasing Services from 2013 to 2016. In both of these positions, she has managed complex budgets, developed new revenue sources, implemented money-saving programs, and streamlined processes.

Pam has also worked for other public agencies, including the Alameda County Office of Education, and has extensive experience in the private sector. She holds an associate degree from Chabot College, a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco, and an MBA with an emphasis in sustainability from Presidio Graduate School.

In her time at the college and the district, Pam has demonstrated a strong personal commitment to our students, and to equity, diversity and the values that are essential to De Anza’s mission. I hope you will join me in congratulating Pam on this new assignment.

I will be back in touch with you tomorrow with an update on the college's budget. Thank you.

Kindly,
Christina
