New Videos Celebrate Village Centers
Map Shows Tent Locations for Enrollment Day
Just in time for this Saturday’s Enrollment Day open house, a new video series highlights the resources and community that students can find in De Anza’s six Village Centers.
The new videos, produced by the Office of Communications, are being shared on the college social media channels and on webpages for Enrollment Day and the Villages.
Village representatives will be on hand this Saturday, April 27, in both the Main Quad and the Village Centers, to meet graduating high school seniors and their family members from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Prospective students can also meet representatives from Learning Communities, student services and other programs during the Enrollment Day event, which is coordinated by the Office of Outreach.
Each of the Village Centers is a physical space on campus where students can find information and assistance, join activities and just hang out with others who share their interest in related majors.
“It has been wonderful," said student Lily Tran, speaking in the Business and Finance Village video. "I got to meet lots of people that I’ve never met before. There are faculty members, counselors and also Business students.”
“My hope is to build a community of students so they can have a space to feel comfortable coming in, getting help and asking questions,” said counselor Sheldon Fields, speaking in the Physical Sciences and Technology Village video.

Faculty members who would like to volunteer in their Village tent or Village Center should notify their dean. Classified professionals should check with their manager if they’d like to participate.
