Approval of Notes -

The notes from November 28, 2017 were approved with the amendments mentioned below.

*Change to 23 faculty positions

*Nguyen was absent

Discussion of Budget Town Hall and Implications –

The team discussed proposed steps for budget reduction from Budget Town Hall presentation. Strong enrollment is key for improving the budget condition for upcoming years.

Discussion/Confirmation of Faculty Rankings –

Espinosa-Pieb emailed to the committee the original, confidential ranking sheets, which the members ranked individually last week. Then, she displayed the Faculty Hiring Ranking Outcome worksheet and asked the team to compare their numbers with the final outcome spreadsheet. The members confirmed the list was correct.

After confirming the worksheet numbers, Espinosa-Pieb displayed the Faculty Ranking for 2018 – 2019, which included IPBT scores and Deans’ scores. The highest scores determined ranks. Per district’s request, she included the seat count for each position. She reminded everyone that Chancellor’s office would decide on the final outcome.

Espinosa-Pieb and Nguyen will carry forward the list to College Council on Thursday, November 7th, 2017 for approval. Per request, if different from IPBT, please add an additional column to the list. 

Actual number of positions approved will be determined by Chancellor's Cabinet by 12/22/17

Discussion/Confirmation of Instructional Equipment, Strong Workforce, Enhanced Lottery –

  • Enhanced Lottery IPBT approval on 12/1/17 - $342,476
  • IE – information sharing and numbers confirmation with the committee
  • SWF – notes sharing – Espinosa-Pieb and Nguyen will work on it
  • Please send any notes to Espinosa-Pieb and Nguyen that the committee recorded on Friday.
  • The finalized documents will be posted on IPBT website by Monday.
