I. Approval of Notes: Will be reviewed at next weekly meeting.
II. Faculty Hiring:
Tomaneng informed the IPBT committee that because of low enrollment we have a projected $3.2 million shortfall and as a result we will hire 8 new faculty for 2013-2014 instead of 10.
Environmental Studies department requested to present to the committee. Tomaneng responded that it had been decided and communicated to the Deans that no presentations were being scheduled.
The committee split into constituency groups to discuss faculty prioritization hiring data and written justifications that were previously submitted by the deans.
After the discussions the members requested the following item:
- List of faculty positions were hired in 2011-1012.
Any discussion questions should be sent to the Office of Instruction.
Tomaneng advised the members to go back and look on the IPBT website to see what courses have been reduced before.
