Email Information
E-mail to Instructor
I receive many emails and some require a response, while others do not. The college has a spam service and I accumulate over 100 emails in the spam folder every day.
Emails will not be read threee hours before class.
If you require a response, please indicate in your message.
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE IN 24 HOURS, PLEASE CORRECT YOUR EMAIL AND RESEND.
For those of you that send me an email, I would like you, as students, must have the 4 items below.
1) Subject Line
Emails with a blank subject line will be deleted without reading.
The subject line should reflect the meaning of your email. Do not just 'click' reply.
Examples: Math 212 - Question about assignments
The subject Math never goes to the spam folder.
2) Start of the email: Salutation, title.
Example: Mr. Tsuji; Hello; Professor;
3) Body of email.
Short message that has proper grammar and spelling. Make your English teacher proud. Use
the spell checker.
No abbreviation, or short cuts in spelling. Leave the abbreviations, short cuts for
your friends, not your college instructor.
4) Bottom of email: Closing with name both first and last. No personal information.
Name - both first and last
Subject - It helps to identify the sender
ID numbers are not needed.
Example:
Thank you
George Burns, math 210, TTh 6:30
NOTE: If the FROM line was deleted, can you tell who the email came from?
Examples of emails that I have received.
The 'from', 'to' have been deleted.
