The Rising Scholars Program will host a screening of the film "Almost Home," produced by Palomar College. This powerful documentary highlights the challenges and triumphs of individuals transitioning from incarceration back into society, shedding light on the resilience and humanity of those impacted by the criminal justice system. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by students from the program who are formerly incarcerated or system-impacted, offering personal insights and perspectives on the film's themes. Food will be provided and all are welcome to join this inspiring event!
