Our campus community will learn about Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits disability discrimination. We will learn more about its history, highlighting the power of activists with disabilities who committed direct action to bring attention to their needs and their well-deserved civil rights. Personal testimony will be provided highlighting one person’s contribution to the amendment to the rehabilitation act.
