VTA Climate Change Workshop
10/26/2023
3:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Conference Room A - Hinson Campus Center

Join Students for Equity and Environment at De Anza (SEED) and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) for an interactive workshop centered on climate change and action. This event will feature mini presentations from VTA staff followed by smaller group dialogue. How do we make equitable change within our community? How do we improve transit, reduce how much we drive, decarbonize transportation and buildings, and protect the environment for future generations? RSVP in advance.
Topics to be discussed at this workshop include:
- VTA’s Draft Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (available for public comment now)
- Building better bikeways in Santa Clara County (check out the Bicycle Superhighway Implementation Plan)
- Transit-Oriented Communities and Development (read more on the TOC policy and projects here)
- Reducing driving from development projects (watch VMT videos and take the community survey)
- Making Transit Faster and More Reliable
- Stevens Creek Corridor Study
Help us shape a better world for all. This event is proudly hosted by SEED, in collaboration with VTA, and is accessible by Bus Routes 23, 25, 51, 55. We hope you can join us in person, but if you can’t, note that there are many ways to take action and engage. Check out the links above for more information!
