What Is De Anza CONNECT?
De Anza CONNECT provides academic counseling, support and resources for students who are not participating in other campus programs that have designated
academic counselors.
Our CONNECT team uses proactive outreach to help identify your needs and connect you with what you need – whether it's a counselor, tutoring, financial aid or other services.
New Students
If you're a new, first-time college student – and not part of another program that has its own counselors – you are automatically part of the De Anza CONNECT program. During your first three quarters at De Anza, you will receive
- Support from a network of General Counselors and student success specialists
- Friendly check-ins via text messages from Roary, our student success chatbot
- Phone and email follow-ups from the CONNECT team, to ensure you receive the support you need
You can schedule an appointment with a General Counselor by clicking the yellow button to use our online scheduling system.

- Visit the General Counseling Center in person. We're in the RSS Building on the second floor.
- Follow the steps below to submit the CONNECT form in MyPortal and we'll meet with you to discuss your needs and what programs or services can benefit you!

De Anza students can now submit a request through De Anza CONNECT:
- Log in to MyPortal
- Click on the card for "De Anza CONNECT"
- Log in if prompted
- Select a question from the drop-down menu.
- Provide details regarding your inquiry and mention "CONNECT
- Check-In" before you click "Submit."
