REPRESENTATIONAL
DRAWING

Students in this class will learn and practice key representational drawing techniques, including the use of
grids and shape mapping, shading, proportions and basic perspective.
From composition to content, students will be encouraged to develop their rendering skills while strengthening creative thinking, focus and attention to details. This course is offered through the Euphrat Museum of Art.
Instructor: Lydia Sanchez is a visual artist and art instructor working in the Cupertino Union School District, at West Valley and Muir Elementary Schools, and the Euphrat Museum of Art. She encourages children and youth to use their imaginations and express their own ideas about the world around them.

SAT MATHEMATICS

This course will help students prepare
for the math section of the SAT, including changes that have been made since
the introduction of Common Core State Standards. The instructor will address different types of math questions on the test, while also teaching general skills for success and focusing on each student’s broader purpose and goals. The class will also cover concepts that can be applied to other math classes and everyday life.
Instructor: Arshdeep Shinh has a teaching credential and a master’s degree in instruction and curriculum from the University of Phoenix, as well as a bachelor’s degree in math and physics from Guru Nanak Dev University in India.
Class requirements: Tablet, laptop or desktop computer with internet capability. Students must purchase a required workbook: Barron’s SAT Premium Study Guide with 7 Practice Tests (ISBN-13: 978-1438012223).
