UC TAG Information Sessions

Planning to transfer to UC in Fall 2017?

Attend an information session this summer to review the UC TAG program requirements for transfer during the 2017-2018 admission cycle.

Applicants must meet campus-specific requirements to be eligible for a UC TAG and may submit only one TAG to UC per academic year.

Information Session topics will provide:
  • An overview of the UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) System and UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) System
    • Special focus on UC Davis TAG criteria
  • Specific procedures and deadlines at De Anza College
  • Time for Questions & Answers

NOTE:  UC TAG Information Sessions DO NOT focus on the UC application process.

The Transfer Center offers UC Application Workshops during the fall quarter.  Visit the Transfer Workshops and Information Sessions page to view a schedule.

UC TAG Information Session Guidelines
  • Registration is required and offered on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Sign up early. Seating is limited (Limit 1 information session per student). Registration for each workshop will close upon reaching maximum seating capacity.
  • Arrive promptly. Sessions will begin immediately as scheduled.
  • Please cancel at least 24 hours prior to session date to allow other students to attend.
  • Bring a pen/pencil and paper or tablet device for notes.

Special Notice: UC TAG Advising @ De Anza College
  • Attendance at a UC TAG Information Session is highly recommended.
    • Students who cannot attend an information session are encouraged to prepare specific questions to ask a counselor or academic adviser.
  • TAG advising services may be limited in the Counseling & Advising Center between June 27 to September 30, 2016.
    • To schedule an appointment, call or stop by the Counseling & Advising Center during business hours. Schedule early as appointment times can fill quickly.
  • EOPS students must work with counselors assigned in their respective program to address any questions about and to complete the UC TAG.

Students must have a valid De Anza College Student ID to sign up through the Transfer Workshops Online Registration System


NOTE:  Online registration will close upon reaching the maximum seating capacity per workshop.

UC TAG Filing Period: September 1 - 30, 2016 (Fall 2017 transfer)

Prospective UC TAG applicants must first create a UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) account and then follow the prompts to apply for a UC TAG.  Students must submit their UC TAG application during the month of September.

UC Application Filing Period: November 1 - 30, 2016 (Fall 2017 transfer)

The UC Online Application System will open on August 1.  Students may begin working on their UC application for admission early but must submit their UC application between November 1 - 30.
