Weekly Individual Tutoring

Thank you for your interest in Weekly Individual Tutoring (weekly appointments) at the Writing and Reading Center. We are now accepting requests for appointments for Winter 2018. You can read the info below to better understand this service and eligibility, and then use this link to complete the request form:

When requesting a tutor, please provide the information below, and we will share your contact info and class info if we can find a tutor whose schedule works with yours.

  • Name
  • Student ID#
  • Email address
  • Course name
  • Instructor name

Mark any available times with check marks.

Please keep in mind that Weekly Individual Tutoring is primarily* available to students enrolled in these courses:

  • EWRT 200, READ 200, or LART 200
  • EWRT 211, READ 211, or  LART 211,
  • ESL 200, ESL 234, ESL 244, ESL 252/3, ESL 262/3, or ESL 272/3/4
  • GUID 207.

*Priority for Weekly Individual is given to students enrolled in English/reading/writing classes below EWRT 1A or ESL 5 and students using EDC/DSS services. Weekly Individual Tutoring is subject to availability for transfer-level courses (EWRT 1A, 1B, and 2, as well as ESL 5 and 6).



Thank you for your patience and understanding as you wait to be assigned a tutor. Weekly Individual Tutoring provides weekly one-hour sessions with the same tutor for the entire fall, winter, or spring quarter. Weekly Individual Tutoring will begin in week 3 or 4 of the quarter. Drop In Tutoring (no appointment--first come, first served) will begin week 2. Please use Drop In Tutoring while you wait to be contacted by a Weekly Individual Tutor.
