What can a Student Ambassador do for you?
- Encourage a prospective student to pursue a higher education.
- Give a young perspective on how to transition to college and what to do once you get here.
- Offer support to students to assist them with anything they need to be successful here — whether it be tutoring, financial aid or how to get involved on campus.
Our Student Ambassadors are very active on campus and can give you the inside scoop on the different clubs and programs that we have at De Anza!

"Hello everyone, my name is Joey Garcia. When it comes to being a Student Ambassador my goal isn't to just succeed, my goal is to raise the bar! I have been a student here at De Anza College for two years, working towards a degree in Social Work and transferring to UC Berkeley. My passion has been working with underserved youths and showing them their true unlimited potential. It is my honor to give these students all the information and guidance they will need to transition into a positive college setting. “Hey, my name is Darnel Green
and I’m a Student Ambassador at De Anza College. My goal here is to not only
grow as a person by meeting new people, but to educate myself so I can transfer
to a 4-year institution of my choice. I have been attending De Anza for over a year.
My first year at De Anza has changed my life by being part of various programs and
clubs De Anza has to offer such as; First Year Experience (F.Y.E.) and the De
Anza’s Football team. Once I completed my first year at De Anza, I wanted to
help educate and guide incoming students through their transition from a high

Hey everyone, my name is Luis Vazquez and I’m a Student
Ambassador here at DeAnza. I have grown a great deal in my pursuit for higher
education and I'm currently an English major working to transfer to a 4 year
institution. My goal is to help students from under-represented communities to pursue a higher educational path. As a student at DeAnza and a
participant in a support program for Hispanic college students Puente, I have
become very familiar with what it takes to be part of college culture. If you
