Sound Files for Audio Project

Final Project:

When I did an export, 3 files got created:

Falling.wav (the song in the background)

Submix1.wav (the mix)

vernoninterview1.wav (the actual interview file)

SoundtrackPro is an image file so you can see what I was doing. Sorry, I don't have protools.

I am still cutting the video and think that has to be done before the audio, but some footage will be up here later so you can get an idea of what I'm editing to.

What we learned:

  1. Need to set the date and time on the recorder
  2. Recording from the mic in versus the xlr inputs using a ¼ to mini jack adaptor, the levels are too low and don’t respond the recording level adjustments.
  3. Record levels can be difficult to set, sometimes the room and sounds are too quiet, outside the sounds can peak too high.
  4. Wind can be a major problem and make the meters peak and sound distort
  5. The wind suppressor and dead cat work well together in reducing wind noise
  6. The H4n is pretty cool once you get the hang of the controls and the menus
  7. We need a boom and a handle for our shotgun mic
