About Me

"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." ~Lou Holtz

I have over 32 years of experience in nursing and have worked in a number of roles in nursing and nursing education. My passion is teaching and I enjoy watching my students succeed and excel. I've been teaching at De Anza since 1995.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, gardening, martial arts, and spending time with my family. I'm proud to be the daughter of an octogenarian Dad, and I'm a great-grandma!

I am a native Californian and live in San Jose with my wonderful husband Mike and my sweet German Shorthaired Pointers, Rip and Coco.
