About Me

"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." ~Lou Holtz

I retired from full-time teaching at De Anza on June 25, 2021.

I have about 37 years of experience in nursing and have worked in a number of roles in nursing and nursing education. My passion is teaching and I enjoy watching my students succeed and excel. I've been teaching at De Anza since 1995.  I also worked in various nursing and education roles at El Camino Hospital from 1984-2014.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy learning, traveling, reading, gardening, martial arts, and spending time with my family and furbaby. I'm proud to be the daughter of an nanogenarian Dad, and I'm not only a great-aunt, I'm a great-grandma!

I am a native Californian and live in San Jose with my wonderful husband Mike and my sweet German Shorthaired Pointer, Coco.
