Prerequisites

Some courses in the English Department are geared for students who have a recommended level of skills and knowledge. The college uses a variety of assessment methods – including placement tests, high school transcripts and high school GPA – to place students in the best course sequence for them to succeed. Students who have not been assessed or who are unsure of their placement should contact the Assessment Center.

Please make sure to see the Prerequisite section for each English course description in the Course Catalog or Schedule of Classes before enrolling in the class.
