Fall 2008 Community Service Learning Courses

ICCE's Community Service Learning (CSL) Program focuses on experiential learning by arranging for students to interact with diverse and often underserved people in a variety of workplace environments, reflect on their community involvement, and connect and integrate their experiences in the community with their classroom learning and their own lives. This program requires the development of curriculum and "Community Links" database training and orientation for faculty, students, and community partners. CSL can be required or can be attached as additional credit in G.E. courses from all disciplines at De Anza College.

Courses Providing Community Service Learning Opportunities

Business/Computer Systems, Creative Arts, Biological, Health and Environmental Sciences, Intercultural/International Studies, Language Arts, Physical Science, Math and Engineering and Social Sciences and Humanities Divisions offer courses with service-learning options. Instructors will inform their classes at the beginning of the quarter and provide specific guidelines.
