Deadlines listed below are for standard 12-week classes. Please note:
- The deadline to request Pass/No Pass grading for classes taken in the current quarter (or summer session) is the last day that the class meets for the term. (See the Pass/No Pass webpage for more information)
- You can find Add and Drop deadlines for nonstandard-length classes by logging in to MyPortal: Open the Apps section, click on the Student Registration tile and then click on "View Your Class Schedule." All deadlines are enforced.

Priority Registration Groups
In accordance with new state and local regulations, students will be assigned registration dates in the following order. You may register from your start date through the end of the add/drop period.
Important Information
- All steps must be completed to receive priority registration. Please allow time after completing all steps for your record to be updated.
- Once you have your registration date, you can follow the Steps to Register for classes. For more help, please check the detailed Registration Guide or contact the Admissions and Records Office.
- Group 1-A
- Veterans, foster youth, DSPS, EOPS and CalWorks students who have
- completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan
- completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan
- Group 1-B
- Student parents who have
- one or more children under age 18 who receive more than half their support from the student parent
- completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan
- Group 2
- Student athletes who have
- Selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate
- Declared a major and have not been on probation for two consecutive terms
(If first admit quarter is summer 2014 or later, student will be considered a first-time college student and must have completed assessment, passed orientation and completed an educational plan.)
- Group 3
- Continuing students who have
- Selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate
- Declared a major and have not been on probation for two consecutive terms
- Completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan
- Group 4
- New college students who have
- Completed assessment, orientation and an educational plan
- Selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate
- Declared a major
- Group 5
- New college students who have
- Selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate
- Declared a major and have not been on probation for two consecutive terms
- But have NOT completed assessment, orientation or an educational plan
- Group 6
- Returning students and new transfer students who have
- Selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate
- Declared a major
- Group 7
- All other college students
- including continuing students who have NOT declared a major or who have NOT selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate
- Group 8
- Dual or concurrently enrolled high school students
