Business/Computer Systems Division

In conjunction with NASA/Ames, the Business/Computer Systems Division and the CAOS Department offers to both current and potential students the opportunity to participate in the NASA/Ames Internship Program.  If you are an interested party, please do the following:

Begin by going to the Nasa/Ames Internship Program website to view the program requirements and other details including the rate of pay, how many hours you must work per week and what companies you could possibly end up working for during your internship.

Download the application package and submit to NASA/Ames.  If you have questions, you may contact them at:

Phone: 650.604.5560
Fax: 650.966.1980
Email: internships@fhda.edu

Next, you will need to prepare a resume for yourself.  If you need resume help, you can refer to the nextsteps.org website.

If you have questions about your resume once you have written it, you may email your resume to Linda West at westlinda@fhda.edu and she will be happy to look it over.  Be sure to save your document as an RTF file as well as a Word DOC file.  If you prefer to speak with her in person, you may make an appointment to see her in the Advanced Technology Center in room 203.  You may make an appointment by calling her at 408.864.8390.

If you are offered an interview for an internship, be sure to ask detailed questions regarding the duties of the intern.  If the position doesn't have all of the skills you are interested in acquiring, ask your supervisor for ways of achieving your desired goals.

If you are admitted into the Internship Program, NASA/Ames will contact you and enroll you in the appropriate ACCT/BUS/CAOS/CIS 98 class.
