The De Anza College Sports Medicine team is responsible for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for more than 450 student-athletes participating in 19 intercollegiate sports. Our medical staff includes two full-time certified athletic trainers and volunteer athletic training interns. Sports, Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine Associates (SOAR) physicians have served as team physicians to De Anza College athletics for more than 30 years, with Dr. Michael Wall as our team physician since 1996. Additionally, we work closely with South Bay Sports and Preventative Medicine Associates, Peak Physical Therapy and Kaiser Permanente Sports Medicine San Jose to provide high-quality medical care to all De Anza student-athletes.
Our goal is to empower our student-athletes with the knowledge of preventing, treating and rehabilitating their athletic injuries and to take an active responsibility in the healing process.
