6-clinic session on Saturdays

Winter – January 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM   (Grades 4-6)

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM   (Middle School and Senior HS)      

Mail Registration closed January 9th for Winter sessions. 

Please contact Coach Mark at landefeldmark@deanza.edu with your child's age and clinic session and bring the completed registration packet to Saturday's first session.

Cost:              $175 each session

 

Program: The DeAnza College Badminton Clinics are designed for youth players (grades 4-12) to receive professional guidance with the intent of improving footwork, strokes (net, drop, clear and smash shots), strategic/tactical awareness, and for everyone to have a fun experience and promote a lifelong relationship with exercise through this sport.

 

Lead Coach:      Radu Milevschi, De Anza College Team Trainer

Radu was USA Assistant Head Coach for 2009 Junior Pan Am Games, and was named by the United States Olympic Committee as USA Badminton Developmental Coach of the Year. He has been in training and playing competitive badminton since he was 10 years old. By high school, he was on the Romania National Junior Team. Radu has traveled the world playing competitive badminton, and now enjoys working with and supporting his students of all ages achieve their potential.

Other coaches include De Anza College Staff Coaches: Melody Kuo (former State Quarterfinalist and De Anza College Assistant Coach) and Aileen Ngo (member of 2 De Anza State Champion badminton teams, De Anza College Assistant Coach and recent youth basketball director); and Boubacar Diallo, (De Anza College Assistant Coach and current De Anza Intercollegiate Soccer assistant coach).  Members of the current De Anza Women's Badminton team will also be making appearances to assist with the clinics.
