Santa Clara University Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA)

Santa Clara University is a private, comprehensive Jesuit, Catholic university located in Santa Clara, CA that offers undergraduate programs in arts and sciences, business, and engineering. Founded in 1851, Santa Clara University is recognized as California’s oldest operating higher education institution that seeks to blend high-tech innovation with social consciousness rooted in the Jesuit educational tradition.

TAA Overview

  • TAA is applicable to participating majors within the College of Arts and Sciences.
  • TAA is considered for Fall term only.
  • At least two-thirds (2/3) of the required subject areas must be completed at the time of TAA submission.  For example, English, Math, and Science are required, thus, two of those three areas must be complete at the time the TAA is submitted.
  • minimum 3.3 transferable GPA is required at the time of TAA submission.
  • Transcripts (unofficial are fine) must be submitted with the signed (by a De Anza College counselor) TAA. However, official transcripts are needed to complete the application.
  • TAA is available to International Student Applicants
    • SCU Proof of English Proficiency: International Applicants are only exempt from this requirement if they are from a country whose official language is English or if they attended their entire high school career at a school whose instruction is conducted in English.

Filing Deadline: Fall 2018 TAA

  • Priority TAA Application deadline: February 1, 2018
  • Final TAA Application deadline: March 30, 2018

  • Meet with a DAC counselor to fill out the TAA. DAC will forward the signed TAA to Santa Clara University.

    NOTE: Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended ( excluding Foothill/De Anza) must be on file at DAC or hand delivered (unofficial are acceptable) to your counseling session. If transcripts are not on file or have not been evaluated, there may be a delay in submitting the TAA to Santa Clara University.

Step 3

  • Santa Clara University will send the TAA decision to you by U.S. Mail.

Step 4

  • Submit your admission application to Santa Clara University via the Common Application as early as possible.
  • Fall 2018 admission application deadline: April 15, 2018.
  • Santa Clara University has rolling admissions, so admission applications are accepted from January 7 – April 15 every year, and applicants are notified of admission decisions between February and May.
