New students who have not earned an A. A., A. S., or higher degree or who are not taking courses for personal enrichment, are required to take an Orientation to College (Coun 100) course. For summer session only: You cannot register for this class online. Download the registration form here. During the summer, this 1/2-unit course is usually offered over a four-day period. See the Schedule of Classes for dates and times this course is offered.
You must be at the first class meeting! Attendance at the first class meeting is required. If you do not attend the first class meeting, or if you are late, the instructor has the option to drop you from class to accommodate students on waiting lists. However, it is your responsibility to officially drop classes in which you no longer wish to be enrolled. If a class is not dropped within the first two weeks of the Fall, Winter or Spring quarters, you will be charged for the class and may receive a failing (F) grade.
